using headphones out as a output for recording

i got a Spirit folio notepad..and this baby only got a main out (goes to the L&R ins on the MPC) and control room out (goes to my speakers)..

so i Don't have any out more for recording to my pc (i don't got the 8 outs)..is it possible (i know it is) to use the headphones out to send the signal to my usb audio capture card (so from jack tot twice rca) and use the tape in on the notepad to monitor it

wil it maintain good quality?

i googled that mixer and the specs I found say it has a stereo aux fx bus. if your version does, you might try using this to route samples from the mixer into the mpc's ins for sampling, and use main outs to the pc. does it have tape outs too? whate exact model do you have?

also you dont say what you want to record. assuming it is only the mpc you could always hook it up so you run the headphone out on the mpc to a channel (or two) on the notepad for monitoing and use the mpc main outs connected to the usb audio device for recording. leave the rest of your set as it is. this way you get the better quality from the mpc going to your recording but you can still monitor off the headphone jack (which should be good enough for listening anyways)

Okay thnx bro's..I got a edirol ua-1a usb interface...

I want to use the fx send for sending my drums to tape and sample the shit back (i got a ibanez tube compressor between the tape and MPC)

but i was thinking..cuz when i hit the sample screen big time distortion occur everytime..only when i hit the kil/switch from the line in where the MPC signal comes in it wil dissapear. (that's on my DJ mixer to et ik from line to phono, i set it to phone to kill the distortion)

but now i want the eliminate te use of a dj mixer but on tje notepad there arn't any kill switch..will it give me the same problem?
