v120 os!!

sup i jus ran the new os and its f@@@ed my mpc up
can any1 be of assistance?
i ran it str8 from floppy after i unzipped it
now when i start my mpc it asks for the disk, i put it in and it says loadin then nothin!!!

What mpc you have?

Go to Akai's site... Download the OS again... and Boot the OS from disk...

Shouldn't be hard...

Also do you have a card reader... Cause (if I'm not mistaken) the only difference between OS 1.14 and OS 1.2 is the card reader feature added in the new OS... That might be your problem... You may need to reboot the old OS...

its ok ive sorted it

dunno what went wrong but i downloaded it again and formatted the floppy i was using

cheers anyway and no i havent got a card thingy so there wasnt much point in updating it

Go back to v1.14 and stay there.

What was your advantage of upgrading to 120.

I thought 1.14c solved teh card issue, or is that just so it can recognize an ATAPI device?

It will work for the ATAPI card drives too. The Update cures the partition rule
