you can bulk dump all a synths patches to a sequence on the mpc and have it saved to re-initialise those settings.

I just learned to do dumps to my MPC2000Xl from my Motif and Triton. It saves me from saving my patches and mixes on my synths to seperate media.

When I load up my MPC prg and seq and play them, the synths will automatically load up the patches used in the song.

yeh im talking about somehing different than saving pgm changes in your tracks. im talking about calling up banks of patches for a synth. by playing a seq dump from the mpc and transmitting a hole bunch of new patches. so i can easily load different patches into the synth via the mpc's zip drive and have access to a whole lot more sounds than i can program into the memory.

I understand what you mean. Right now I transfer my User patches on my Motif from my PC over USB (or I save em to Zip off the Motif). It works but I still have to remember what User patches I'm using when I load a beat.

I'm sure the patch info would be extensive and would take forever to load over Midi, but I have never done this so I wouldnt know.

its takes like 30secsonds per bank to transfer from midi ox on pc. im using a midisport4x4 usb adaptor also.
