A bit new to the aKai way of doin things - Some things i took for granted when moving midi notes around a PC screen, but cant seem to replicate the same method?!? please HELP......
a good example is in the tune im working on now......
basically i got me a beat and a colourfull soul loop thats filtered right down to make the Bass Line. I want to COPY all the settings including Program/Params and the same TRACK NV recordings...so i have a perfect copy to tweek the mid section with!!!....This would be easy enough to just setup another pad (with the same sound) and match up all the numbers in the various windows...... but what if the pitch of the bass line first PAD (pad/sound/note?) is tuned via BOTH the recording on the NV slider and the Tune setting in PARAMS window?
A simpler wayout could be ........
can i copy a track including recorded NV settings and assign the notes and data to another PAD....
Or is there a window i cant find that has visible / changable data ie: time,note 34, sample name etc.....? where i could just change which pad is being triggered in the track i ve just duplicated?
if you still have no idea what im talking about......well on my PC the Whole thing is just a matter of copy midi track (including midi/NV reorded data) to a new track and on my sampler i would copy preset to the corresponding midi track , and hey presto i got the same thing with same sound and same tuning and the chance to go on adding another filtered track !!!
its more a sequencer thing than a sampler one ! im not yet sure about PROGRAMS as i only use one that i know of - unless i splice zones then the chance to make another program? is Programs Like Preset on emu samplers???
I know first few posts are gonna say "why not just record another track by ear to get the tuning right - but this track has to be tightly tuned to match live instruments hence i need to copy the existing track!!!
