How do you do it? All I can find is how to divide a sample into to zones but I can only play them with the F6 key. Or am I missing it in the manual somehow?

im not at my mpc right now, but there is a way to make a new sample out of a zone. is there a more screen, or maybe try hitting open window once you set your zone.

When you're in the ZONE screen, go to edit and the choose SLICE SOUND and make sure the 'create new program' is set to yes. If you dont set it to yes, you get the sounds (named the same as the original sound you sliced, but numbered ie.; sound1, sound2, etc) then you can make your own program with them.

cant you just tell it to create a new program with the slices?
after you chop it, and adjust the "little bit added to the end of each slice" just create a new prgrm. then save it, load the program you want it to be on, then save it to that. I know there is an easier way but I aint in front of my MPC now.
