Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By kolonel Thu Apr 07, 2005 10:09 am
Picked up a 2000xl lst nite. It came with some sounds on the external zip drive. I was using them, but when I turned the MPC off and tried to start it up again, the MPC werent reading te SCSI, it just kept saying, SCSI DEVICE NOT READY! Then went on to say, LOAD DISC, when I go the load menu.
Losing the sounds is one thing, but if the SCSI aint working, Il have to get a new one. Anyone got any ideas at all whats hapnin?

What i.d are you on 5 or 6?I keep mine on five and sometimes it does that to me too.Usually i just scroll past it (go to i.d 7) and then when i come back it's cool.

On the back of your drive it has a switch for the i.d.You can use 5 or 6 but i think what you should try is keep it on 5.WHen you go to load/save scroll through to 5.It may say wait/not ready. If so keep scrollin to i.d. 7(on the mp)then go back down to 5.After that you should be o.k.
