assigning sample from trim/zone

hey another dumb question, let's say I've sampled a sound (and haven't saved it yet) and am in the trim/zone screen, how do I assign 1)the trimmed sound/loop to a pad and 2)assign each zone to a specific pad? thanks

The only i know to assign a sound to a pad is in the Program screen. [Shift 6 i believe, im not at the machine right now so im not sure]. To assing zones to a pad you can: from the zone screen, hit edit, it will ask you if you want to create a program, hit yes. This will make a new program and all the zones will be assigned to pads. For example if you have 8 zones, pads A1-A8 will be filled with those individuals sounds. Hope this helps!! Peace

i already zoned it....then loaded up another .pgm(drum kit) o the same DRUM, by accident. so then i lost the zons i had set, can i put them back without having to create 8 more zones(sounds)?

not sure if i follow, but ill give it a crack. uhhm, seems to me that what your doing is loading up a program on an existing program. What you need to do is ASSIGN your programs. Make sure your zoned program is given a Program number. I believe its shift + 6, then hit assign, and assign from there. hoipe this helps....peace
