After zoning (and slicing) a particular sample, I time stretched each individual slice to 80.0 BPM from the original source tempo. I then programmed the sample's patten in the sequence, and set the tempo to 80.0 BPM, but there's still gaps between the samples. Anyone know why this is so? Or any methods around this?

Also, is it possible to time stretch a "selected" part of a wave, and not have it create a new sample? So I'll be able to have just the full wave with all my individual stretches/edits?

the mpc takes about 30 milliseconds off of each sound to prevent it from clipping or something? i can't really remember...
so anyhow it's wise to leave some extra space to both sides of the sound when you chop shyt up. you can always move the starting and ending points later.

hmm.. did that make any sense?

as to your second question.. well yes and no. you have to copy and edit the selected part individually, then erase the original part -the part that you timestretched- of the wave and replace it with the new part. it's easy as soon as you get the hang of it

use recycle and mpc editor it will save the heart ache and a lot of time. it has a stretch function that will float your boat. plus make slicing and pgm creating a breeze.

1) time stretch before you zone and slice

2) when it says "Create New Program", under that it says Cutoff or something, change it from 30 to zero.

3) turn quantize off when you replay the chops, quantize might be making your chops not sound right, since you probably didnt chop into pieces that are all exactly the same size.

make sure that you trim/and loop . trunacated right leave no gaps
also timestretch ,then chop in zone leave margin at 35 so that your samples want get cut off at the beginging and end of the sample. that's
were you get pops and sample don't sound right. T"
