note repeate problem

well, this is the scenario: sometimes (live gig!!!) when i press the note repeat button to play the pads (e.g. play a snare and bassdrum grov while the mpc runs the sequence as a slave of LIVE ) what happens is: without tapping/hiting any of the pads one sound of the program i'm using starts playing e.g.(a cymbal sample starts playing in 16th notes! imagine the noise...). this is a disaster in a live gig. i have to reassign that sample and dont' use the pad it was assigned to. change the pad othewise it's impossible to play any grove using the note repeat. does anyone ever experienced that?[/b]

try not to press to hard on the repeat button....thats about all i can say right there

hmmm, sounds wierd.. never encountered this problem at all. are you sure its not triggering a sound in ableton. try pressing shift and the note repeat button. then waiting to see if it does anything. it could be a stuck note or something transmited from ableton that is causing this problem. also try slaving you computer to the mpc and see if it happens.

when i used the 2kxl something similar happened sometimes, did you have note repeat at 16th when you played the snare and the bassdrum or does a sound get stuck at 16th even if you use another timing?
if a sound gets stuck, find the pad and press the pad for that sound,
most of the times it stopped (for me at least) if that did'nt help i went through and pressed all the pads. I know this probably is not an option if you play live but in the studio it might help...

maybe its the OS, i had 1.14 i think.... i'm not sure but i think i never had that problem before i changed to 1.14

If you tap the Note Repeat button (not hold it down) while a sequence is playing it will change the Tempo (bpm) of the sequence. That's why it says "tap tempo" above note repeat......

Try it a few times, just tapping the note repeat buttom, it will speed the tempo up and then slow it down to different bmp's.
