looping with extra sync bar

Your making a 8 bar loop but u need 10 really to make sure ur DAWis sync with ur mpc. How do u make it loop from bar 3 to 10 bar while skippin bar 1&2 which is there just for syncing
I usually just create a extra 2 bar blank sequence and then go to the next sequence which has the actual data.. I strayed away from my mpc for the motif and im not having a happy return..lol

create 8 bar loop...SEQ1

create 2 bar blank loop...SEQ2

in song mode, do: SEQ2 (repeat once)
SEQ1 (repeat as many times as you want)

that way youll have a blank 2 bar sequence, then an 8 bar sequence that repeats without repeating the blank one.

Does that make sense?
