Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

1.do most people record straight into their MPC's from their sound sources or do you's sample say from other DSP units, then loading that saved .wav into the MPC2000xl

2.I have a Motu 828 and Cubase, just wondering if i should record from my sources there then save the sound as .wav then load into MPC, or should i just record straight into the MPC2000xl

3. Can someone offer some reccommendation as to how i might use my cubase setup with my MPC2000xl? I'm a bit confused.. i would like the MPC as a sequencer, however how then would cubase by used with it as the slave?

Oh oh.... Cubase? i keep on reading the same questions. I already replied to this question about 3 times. Try searching the forum. Type in Cubase for starters.

As for your first question. I think everybody has their own method. It also depends on what other gear you have. A lot of people prefer to sample into the computer, and edit and chop there. Programs like Wavelab and ReCycle can save some time, but you'll have to transfer everything back to the mpc.
Using Cubase as a wave-editor is not that much of an advantage, in your case i would sample into the mpc and bounce my finished track into Cubase to add some filters and effects.
