MPC2000XL Sync to Triton Classic

Does anyone know how to Sync the MPC to the Triton. What I would like to happen is this.
I would like to press a key on the keyboard or a pad on the MPC and it makes the other device start at the same time.
I'm aware that MIDI will play a part in this. But I would like to play a beat or cords along with the MPC while it is playing a beat that I created. And then press that one key or pad to have them play together so that I can record them at the same time.

Step one: Click the word SEARCH at the top of this page.
Step two: Type in the words "MPC and Triton and Hook up"
Step three: Click the search button near the bottom of the screen or just press enter.

These three steps may apply to any questions you may have. Simply make the necessary adjustments to step two. If you still have questions after that, post up.

Dude, unless you have a dial up connect, don't be lazy and post up a simple ?.
To answer it, midi out of mpc to midi in of triton and vice versa is the basic hook up. select which will be master and which will sync to the master. (id use the mpc as the master since you said you want to use the triton to play along with the beat you made) now set the mpc to send midi and set the frame rate, turn mmc on, set up the triton midi to recieve at the same settings as used on the mpc.

Now play your beat on the mpc and record a track into the triton sequncer of you playing along, say with a piano part, or you can record the trition info into the mpc's sequencer. Either or. (basically 1 way is to use 2 sequencers, the mpc and the triton and sync them so they play back 2 gether or to use the mpc to sequence the beat and all the data from the triton, basically making the triton a two thousand dollar sound module.)
Now that the MPC is controlling the timing, when the mpc plays back, all the info in the triton's sequencer will play back in sync with the beat on the mpc allwoing you to record it all.

Your right, I quick search wouldnt hurt. But in regards to clogging up the board, Mddl Fngr could save his time and not post, if your not going to make a reply to "help" why comment. That's clogging up the board.

MF was just helping not clog up the board for future use......a lot of ppl post the same ish to start a thread when with a little digging you may find what you are looking for plus more....i remember i was doing a search one time and came upon another answer that i was looking for also.....SEARCH is very helpful....

I saw you just joined, thought maybe you didn't notice the Search feature, IMO its a helpful suggestion. Maybe mildly humerous sarcasim doesn't come thru well in print... whatever the case may be, my intensions are always good natured.

Maybe I got to comfortable talkin to folk in the forums...... anyway, next time I'll try to be more 'sensitive'.
