I have OS 1.06 what does newer version do?

i have my original operating system in my mpc it says 1.06 aug 20 1999, if i install the latest version what will it do for me???

my friend has an ASR 10 when he upgraded his OS it enabled him to sample his sequences my definition of "resample" and a whole bunch of other stuff it wouldnt do before.

let me add its the 2000XL

the new os is zipped my computers winzip is expired it tells me if have to pay $30 to get it thats crap can some one put up a version that is already unzipped so i can get at it. will it fit on a floppy i dont have a zip drive on this computer and my external drive is 50 pin mac version to work with my mpc ive been trying to upgrade for years but cant please help

If you don't plan on getting an internal card reader then go for v1.14 and stay away from 1.20 it seems to cause problems for some peeps here.
