hooking up zip to my mpc

so i have been using the hard drive for years ,want to switch to zip and im havin alot of problems can someone help me?i heard that you need a certain cord from zip to mpc ,is it true,i need to get this solved

What up Lee! Good to see another Evanstonian up in here!

What MPC you got? 2K or 2KXL? And... do you want and internal or external Zip drive?
Since you said you had a Hard drive hooked up to it, here is info on external: You'll need a HD50 to DB25 Scsi cable for a 2KXL or a Db25 to DB25 for the Straight 2K to hook up an External Zip drive.

Most external SCSI Zips I've seen have a DB25 Scsi port on them.

The 2KXL has a 50 pin HD50 (SCSI II) Scsi port.
