Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I INSTALLED A IDE ZIP ON MY MP I BOUGHT THE CABLE AND EVERYTHING HOOK IT ALL UP BUT IT STILL IS SEARCHING FOR FLOPPY SAYS NO FLOPPY INSTALLED, THE GREEN LIGHT ON MY ZIP COMES ON BUT CAN'T FIND IT CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, THE SAME THING HAPPENS WHEN I PUT MY FLOOPY BACK IN THE LIGHT COMES ON BUT SAYS THE DRIVE ISN'T INSTALLED SOMEONE PLEASE, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, IF I CAN'T GET ANY HELP I'LL JUST TAKE IT TO A DEALER

I belive you need a SCSI zip drive not IDE.

it's not about that dog, i got a scsi hard drive, i am just trying to get this zip situation str8 cause its frustrating as hell

something is wrong with your ide connector inside the mpc. i remember your last post about it. i think alot of people already suggested to you that you try an external zip. if not, that is my suggestion. get an external scsi zip. do you have a 2000XL or not? the internal zip will not work in the nonXL. an external zip (scsi) is way easier to hook up too, just plugNplay.

Same exact thing happened to me and I just went and bought an external. If you figured it out what was goin on??

i installed the latest os and set the drive to master
