Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hello

i have quite a big SCSI hard drive for my MPC2000XL and i got quite a lot of samples on it, including a bunch of tracks of mine.

i realized the other day i would be quite upset if someday this good old hard drive failed or something. i'm now wondering how i could make a backup of this HD...

how can i do ?
i can afford a SCSI card for my PC if necessary... but then what's the procedure ?

(i'd like to do the same with my EMU e6400 HD as well)

thanks

matthieu =)

i am not sure what disk format the mpc uses for scsi drives. i figure it would be fat16, but you never know. you could always risk trying it out, connecting it to a computer, but i think backing it up to zips would be safer. you can load your stuff 32megs at a time onto the mpc and then save it off to zips if you had a scsi zip drive.

see i do the opposite. i have a scsi zip drive and use zips for my song/sample storage and my scsi hd for the backup.

maybe someone knows if the drive format is ok and the computer would see it?
