MPC2KXL > Computer recording sound problem.

i own a mpc2000xl and i make beats i record them onto cool edit pro 2.0. i have a regular stock dell with probably a stock sound card. i also have m-audios bx5's as monitors. the thing is when i play the beat through my akai it sounds wonderful, but when i record it onto cool edit and play it, it sounds not as good as it would on my akai, im wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. i dont know what to do.

U just answered your own question, u need a better soundcard with better anlogue digitial conversion. Your beats are only gonna sounds as good as ur soundcard
