Loop function

Tried search . Didn't work (sorry, I'm not too computer savy) . I'm trying take one of the bass notes from the upright bass samples that someone hooked up last month and make it a continuous note w/ the loop function on a classic 2K . Help would be appreciated . Peace .

I'm afraid there is no magic solution, adjust the looppoints until you get a smooth loop.

Thanks for the link, 4dahaterz . It's still a little vague though . I guess experimentation is the key (lots & lots of it) .

well... u just have to play with the loop beginning and end points of the wave to where it can loop with out any popping or any other stranger noises so it will sound like a sustain on a keyboard

you have to find the pattern, you can do it visually its usually right after the begining of the sample like ;;;:/';:';:';:';:'/;;;';;::::: i outlined it with / slash marks
you take just one of the pattern that repeats you can see it in the wave form ';: take that and loop it, then try different ones to see which one you like best ;:' or :'; the first one usually works best but sometimes its hard to tell were the pattern starts. Basically it will look like 10 identical ducks in row you just take out one and loop it and what every sounds right is right when you hear no clipping and cannot tell when the sample is looping. You hear just constant bass then you've got it.

sample a bit more than the actuall loop. until the first note in the next bar perhaps. the mpc trims 30ms off the sample. so if you trim it hard and its looping in the trim screen. you might want to add some silence to the end of your loop.

Go into params and mess with the attack and decay
