Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Ok, so up to this point I've been doing all of my music in Pro Tools (beatmaking/producing songs).....i messed with a friend of mines 2000XL and fell in love. Mine came in the mail today (used but upgraded and in near mintcondition......and no manual), I've figured out the sequencing and all that, I have 2 questions for right now.

1. How do you get to EQ your samples withing the MPC? I know there is a basic tone adjust function somewhere but I can't find it.

and

2. How do I set it up to where if I hold down one of the pads it'll "roll" the sample?

I've had about an hour and a half on this thing and I'm figuring out a lot of dope ish, these are 2 things troubling me

any help is appreciated

1. the closest thing your gonna get to eqing is the parameters section (res and freq) this is the filter.

2. tap tempo. but you have to set your timing first. hold it down along with the pad you choose.

The only way you can play with eq in the mpc (2k/xl) is in the parameters window in program mode . I think the field is "freq: " ; You can remove the hi-end of a sample by adjusting from 100 - 1 , cutting out the highs more and more the lower you go . Just play with it .

When you got a sequence playing , hold the TAP TEMPO button , then hold the pad you want o roll .

Tips:
Its all in the manual .
This should be in the newbie section if any at all .
USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION .
