Help Needed- Loading Start up disc for mpc 2000xl

I have just switched on my mpc 2000xl and it has come up- insert mpc disk and re load, All lights are lit up, what do i need to do, to get it working again

You need to give more details... is the MPC telling you to insert a disk after you turn it on or what ?

U cant have an XL
the 2k Classic does that..

its the mpc 2000xl, And yes it asks me to insert a disc, which i did, and now I can get in, however every time i load up my mpc, I need to put the disc in?

Save the o.s. to your flash rom/internal hard drive.You shouldn't need to insert the disk everytime once you do that.
