PCM .WAV File

just wanted to know has anyone ever gotten "Not PCM .WAV File" when loading up a program on the MPC from the MPC Editor, dont know what it means

when i save my files in cool edit I have a choice of what format to save it. one of the choices is windows pcm .wav

there's another type of .wav file that im not sure of....just make sure your samples are saved in pcm .wav format

i mean, yeah i understand that... but im trying to find maybe a converter that will let me convert from .WAV to PCM.WAV, i would try cool edit, but dont have it, does anyone know of any other converter to convert from .WAV to PCM.WAV

i dont think there's any that does that.....

there's another type of .wav called Riff.wav, and try this program http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ i use it to create ringtones for my i860. it should work.

i already got that... im sittin up here now about to convert them though preciate it... that should fix it, cause from everything im reading offline, it seems that most programs that convert to .wav convert to that particular one, so ima tested out....

it should work i just loaded a file i converted with that program, and it works.

PCM means it's 16bit/44.1 kHz AFAIK. Maybe your recording program recorded in 24-bit?

... or you just play the file in Winamp or something, and record the StereoMix for example Cooledit and that save how you want it.

PCM - Pulse Code Modulation.
