mpc 2000xl question

I was wondering if the mpc2000xl is able to sample it's own output within the machine, if I'm using some effects, some filter settings or whatever - and which process them further. on some samplers you refer to this as "resampling" but akai uses this term for bit reducing samples as it seems. does anyone know if it's possible (I've been checking the manual, but didn't know what to search for since "resample" had to do with bitreducing)

just checking for some details, getting my mpc2000xl next week hopefully ... bye bye computer sequencers.

you cannot be in sample mode and play sounds already stored to memory.

well, yes I think so... too bad :/

so it's not possible to _sample_ a phrase with an effect added (with the internal effect processor) to a sound on the mpc then... damn, ohwell - I'll have to find another way to work around this... this also means that I won't be able to sample phrases with external effects either then... I know the mpc4000 can do this, but... ohwell

no. cannot internally sample its own outputs.

I'll pull off another question while I'm at it:

Will it be possible to trigg samples so they play a whole longer sample in just one fast punch on the pads?

and, also possible to set a sound so one as soon as you let go of the pad, it stops playing back the sample. so it stops playing back the sample as soon as it sends note-off so to speak.

Maybe I should read the manual (dah), but - I thought it wouldn't hurt asking here, it's after all a forum for questions regarding mpc stuff - and hopefully_someone_ will probably learn something by reading this post

Yes. All that stuff is explained in the manual.

sorry.. i was at work when i wrote that and i did'nt really have the time write in english because it takes me longer trying to find the right words...
anyway i just said that i was'nt sure in what menu to set a sound to stop when you release a pad but i thought it was in the same menu as the filters
and it were somewhere down in the right corner where you could select poly, mono or note off.
i just found it in the manual, it's on page 126

and about playing a hole sample by just hitting a pad, does'nt the mpc2kxl do that by default?

ahh.. and this took me about 10 minutes to write

as I said, I had the manual on my computer but I didn't find the "resample"-issue as akai uses some other term for this of some particular reason. Then I pulled off another question while I still was at it.

I'm sorry if I'm causing trouble here with some basic questions, sure I could read the (f) manual, but if you got the help at hand I thought - "why not ask" - you might get more tips/workarounds which is not even mentioned in the manual...

anyway, sorry guys.
