Is there a program to listen to SND files on windows XP?

just wondering. Or is there an easier way to convert all my MPC SND sounds to wav files. It would probably take forever to do it in the MPC. thanks

yeah there is, COOL EDIT PRO 2001 i think does it.

but it is better to save as WAV on the mpc instead of SND, so do as LampDog said.

Already read what you posted, I aint mad atcha, I've said many times before in previous post also that awave has a batch function and can recognize and convert akai snd's to wav.

I use awave studio 9.1, flawless perfection when doing this.

when you got to page 142 2k classic manual, it says with sounds, have you rotated the dial to see whether you can do it with wav or not? What version of OS are you runnin?

v1.70 introduced the ability to save as wav.

I'm using 1.72. you can save files as wav but you have to do it one at a time, it doesn't have the feature like the XL where you can go back and resave a PGM as a wav. It would be nice if they would make us a new operating system to include this. plus some folder support.

It does not. It thinks SND is another sound type and does not use it correctly.

Yeah, that sucks then. Sorry if I mislead you at all. Best thing I guess is to batch convert in awave, it can correctly convert akai snd's, MPC SERIES SND's are one of the supported file types.

He's right, CEP deals with a different type of SND (AU/Sun Java) and it doesn't translate correctly when played back. MPC3k has stated this a while back and I've played back some of the MPC snd's myself in CEP and he's right. It won't do it.

tru! i remember the long ting i went tru trying this, sorry that was bad advice. which reminds me, hey MPC300 i used the SND2WAV the other day and it speeded up all my samples by+12, what gives?

Speeding it up or just made it play at the correct speed?

The conversion does not mess with pitch.
