Mpc 200xl effects board questions

so i checked out the specks on this unit and i believe there are two effects processors running at once. my question is once a sample has an effect assigned for it can one re-sample the sample with the effect applied so the machine no longer relies on that effect bus or channel?

Not from within the MPC alone..... No Re-sample

Specs of others must you have been checking. Not happening is what speaking of you are.

u get 2 reverbs and 2 multis, to use simel... he effect output can be bus to the 8 outs. really anoying that you cant re-sample. but i have my mpc digi'd up to a dps12 and just do it back and forward that way.

yeah someone else suggested that. thank you btw. i could do that, yes. but then i gotta start screwing with the computer. and if i wanted to do that i probably wouldnt be using an mpc ya know?

but youre right, short of using a hardware sampler, it's almost the only way.

Can you not save sample with effect as wav then reload sample? Same as you would convert all tracks into one wav? would this not work?

I think you're thinking of the 1000, the 2000 cannot resample or mix down to a wav, no way around it. If you wanted the exact sample with an effect, the best way is to use the digital out (have to have the 8out card) to a digital in on another sampler or computer and you get the exact quality without worrying about d/a and a/d again.

2k/2kxl cannot save a sample with effect as wave. You HAVE to take the sound OUTSIDE of the mpc into another recorder, then sample BACK IN. That's the only way to solve that problem yo.

Sorry to post confusion I was thinking of 1k. Hopfully Akai can release update to 2k that allows bounce to wav

Well nanoloop had the best non-computer answer, which was to use a digital recorder, an Akai one even.

I bounce stuff through the DPS16 all the time from the XL. Since the DPS16 can save as WAV, I just turn around and load it straight into the MPC. Takes all of 10 seconds.

Only issue I is see with this is if you lose sound quility or sound feel/warth/crunch. I usually tweak every sound just how I want it so I would hate to reload and it's just not how I had it. Like a bassdrum, I could see it loosing some of it's punch going back and forth but that just might be my paranoid illusions?
