Whats up folks just picked a clean 2000xl today and was wondering if the memory you get from ebay is any good. And i know your tired of the card reader?'s but i want to know which http://www.addonics.com/products/flash_ ... idrive.asp card reader would be good the ide digi drive or the ultra digi drive. Good lookin out

if you're goint to get an addonics, you need the ultra drive as the regular digidrive doesn't have an atapi interface so it won't work .

congrats on getting the mpc

the ram you find on ebay should be alright, as long as they say it'll work in the mpc . it needs to be 72 pin, 60 or 70ns chips (one 32mb or two 16mb).

Really I didnt know that? Is that only for the 2000xl or for both 2000's?

They both use the same ram . Only one computer store where I am had the right type of ram when I did the upgrade . Most people don't carry it anymore because it's so old and isn't used in new machines .
Just to elaborate on my above post, it's EDO ram that you need .
