Hello all... i posted a similar message on the mpc 1000 forum, but it was suggested to upgrade to the mpc 2000 xl for the features I wanted... more specifically, I wanted to be able to use the 'note repeat' button without having to hold down the button with one of my fingers (I'm going to be using it live and i'll need my hands free). I read through the 2000xl manual and it said you can lock this button, but then the next line puzzled me - 'The length that the drum pad is held determines the drum pad's velocity'... i was actually hoping that the velocity would stay constant while i'm pressing the drum pad... did i misinterpret this sentence or is it implying that the drum roll will fade out after a while... i was actually hoping someone out there with a 2000 xl could test this out, again, by locking the note repeat function then holding the pad... this seems like a silly request but it's important for live gigging!
thanks
Jon
