internal zip drive IDE ribbon cable!!!!!

can anybody help, i bought a internal IDE 250 meg zip drive for my mpc 2000xl but i dont know what the exact IDE ribbon cable size is to connect it to my mpc. does anyone know the exact number of pins needed to connect it to my mpc? if anyone has any tips on connecting the zip drive it would be much appreciated!!!

there should be a few posts on here with some kool diagrams showing exactly what to do, but for the mean time, i'm sure you want the 50pin (not sure the number so dont quote me - been a while since i installed one )cable the one without the filled hole init. the ZIP should be set to MASTER and inserted in the slot called IDE or ATAPI. then your good to go OH! dont forget to get the power in it too this requires a little modification from floppy to a normal pc looking power plug. damn i wish i could be more help cuz this is all from memory... someone will be about soon with a better description..

It's the SAME ribbon cable as an IDE pc hard drive. Go the store, tell them that, use it.
