compact flas formatting help?

Anyone know of a way to format compact flash to work on my mpc and my windows xp i have one card that does both actually its my girls and a nother that only works on one or the other depending on if i format it they are the same make and model anyone got insight on mabey a program or somehting liek that?

format as FAT 16 on the PC.

i got windows xp do you know how that process goes?

Put the card in your computer, got to "My Computer" and select the disc. right click then select format.

the only thing is that is can only format in ntfs and right now it isnt even recognizing my compact flash

yea i got a brand new cf card made by lexar, i got a mpc2kxl... i formatted it on my xl and tried to put sounds on it from my pc, but when i try it, my card reader says that there is no disk. it is not recognizing that there is a card in there. any way of fixing this? are there certain types of cards u have to have for the xl?
