ram died?

i think one of my sticks of ram died. all of a sudden my max sample time is 106 in stereo. i've tried resetting the stick & that didnt work. if it matters it's the first stick that isnt workin (towards the front of the unit). just posting here in case anyone has suggestions before i go out & buy new ram.

Did you try swapping the ram sticks? Or try checking them 1 at a time. See if the MPC identifys it.

Try re-seating the ram ( if you haven't already..) often the contacts on ram sticks get bunged up. Even take it out and rub the gold contacts with a little surgical spirits and cotton wool ( or contact cleaner..). Otherwise I'm afraid it's knackered..
