Songfiles MPC2000XL/MPC 2000

Question:
A friend of mine has a MPC 2000, I have an XL.
Since my friend has Protools at his home, I usually take a Zipdisk and upload my beat on his MPC. Only problem is that the MPC 2000 doesn't read the songfiles which I have stored with the XL, unless I store the song into one big sequence which is not a comfortable way to work. So therefore, I have to safe all sequences I made for a song apart for eachother. The XL on the other hand does read MPC2000 song files with its separate sequences.

Can the MPC 2000 be upgrated in order to make it read a song (with its seperate sequences)?

Theres no upgrade available toget your MPC to read the .ALL files from the MPC2000XL. You can contact AKAI to find out if they are working on one, but I bet that's not gonna happen.

You are stuck doing it the LONG way.

Either take your XL there or save as MIDI and PGM's instead of ALL and APS
