I just joined the club just need to fix a few things up!

Here's the description: This is an Akai, MPC2000XL Studio Plus! This is the upgraded model with SampleVerb 4 Channel EFX, Eight + Two Outputs, SMPTE, 2 MB of RAM and SCSI. It comes with Power Cable. The manual is downloadable online, for free.

This piece is in perfect working order. The 4 position screen is clean and bright. All inputs on the back are clean and clear. All buttons, touch pads, knobs, wheels and sliders are clean and work perfectly. Please note; the slider is clean and works. Pad 10 has a small cut in the rubber pad but still works great. The disk drive in front is in perfect working order,this is a 3 1/2 inch disk drive, not a zip drive.

The face has some wear from use. You can see wear marks on the enamel and rub marks as well. Overall I would give this piece an 8 out of 10, only becuase of the smudges.

I think i got away with a deal cosidering it comes with 8-Outs and FX board. I'm gonna drive to pick it up this week. I was gonna take it to VST to get the pads replaced and the ram upgrade. Anything else i need to look into getting fixed?

one of the seller's comments (from a buyer) said, "I would have appriciated it if you wouldve told me there was CAT PISS on it!!!!" Another person stated, "Received nothing for my $48.80, says lost in mail, chance of that less than 1%." And someone else said, "Printer didn't work." Those comments kinda scared me, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to take a chance with this particular buyer. So as long as you receive it, it works, and there's no cat piss on it, then yes, you got a good deal.

It will probably be fine. The guy has good feedback and alot of it with only a couple weird (okay really weird) negative feedbacks. You got a good deal. Even if you are a great seller there are so many weirdos out there who are unreasonable. Even my ebay account with 220 feedback has a negative from some white trash idiot. (Its okay Im white)

Very true, but the his dishonesty from JUST those 3 particular posts already ruins his credibility. That's just me though...

that'd normally cost around $1200 here, at least (nyc is overpriced for everything). but yeah the 8 outs AND the fx card? that's quite a deal for 7 beans
