hi,

i just got a mpc 2000xl and im am trying to record it in my sonar with

midi. (midi file)

i just bought a simple zip disks with some programs on it.

now, im trying to use the sounds on the zip disk to record it on the sonar

as midi file. (just like how one can use the korg triton and record it as midi

file using the midi interface.)

my problem is, that i dont know how to set it up to use it.

the triton for example has all the instrument definition in the software but

with the mpc, i dont know how the set up in the harware and the software.

would somebody please tell me the steps?? thank you very much!!

Umm, why don't you just load the midi file directly from the MPC's floppy in Sonar? Sonar does load midi files right?

do u want sonar to sequence your sounds or MPC?
or u want to record your sequences (AUDIO) into Sonar?

midi don't transfer audio data, just midi impulse, save your sequence on a floppy and load it in sonar with all your sound as mpc3000 said.
