Does anyone know if the mounting bracket can be used to fit any other 2u peice of equipment e.g. synth, eq, other sampler.

This would be quite cool but I just wanna know it the width of the MFC is the same as all other rack-mountable equipment?

Cheers!

Don't see why not. It's a standard 19" rack piece, and the mounting brackets bolt onto the rack ears, not the mfc itself.

But the rack holes on the piece of gear you want to use it for would have to have the same vertical distance between them (on each side) as the mfc.

You could mount most any 1U or 2U piece there. You can actually mount 3 or 4U items and have them extend vertically. The problem is depth. The angle is such that any item that is slightly deeper than the MFC will interfere with the output assembly on the back of the MPC. The angle is just a little too steep to use very much else.

Thin synths (Microwave XT, Roalnd JP-8080) and thin effects (Microverb, Electrix family) will fit but deeper items do not.
