For me it's not essential at all

If sample cd's are your thing or you like to edit samples on your computer first then it might be worth it...

The only reason was , because I'm thinkin of gettin an ASR 10R. i know this is an mpc forum, but was just wondering since some ppl like to use them with their ASRs also. So I was wondering how essential it was to you guys since both use Zip drive and stuff. Anyone else feel like chiming in go ahead i just didn't see to much of an importance to it. consider most sounds are still disk

It's important to me.But that's only because i like to have that option to sample from multiple sources.I don't have the money to buy alot of racks/more expensive gear so it does come in handy if you have a few thousand c.ds and you don't want to replace all those with vinyl.Or spend a grip on modules/racks.
