anyone ever tried this?

they have floppy adapters for smart media cards like the one here its seems 100 times easier then toteing around a zip drive (for thous with out the internal) and if you get an adapter for your comp you can quickly DL sounds to save and edit.... has anyone ever tried this, I dont see why it wouldnt work

Does not work in an MPC since this one requires a special driver overlay for even a computer.

Regardless, even if it did work, it is not any faster than a floppy since it still goes through the slow floppy hardware.

damn I thought I was on to something.... I saw the guy with the card reader on mpc2000xl.com but has anyone seen a scsi smart media reader or one of thous all in one joints... I really just want to do everything with one of these memory cards... there just so damn easy and fast.

ohhh i just noticed that the card reader the guy uses in mpc2000xl.com DOES read smart media.... even better they make new ones that take smart media and compact flash....
