Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I came up with this the other day:

wile holding the overdub button (Without pressing the playbutton)
press one of the 16 pads and and you will record step for step into the sequence note for note.

more like step by step note insertion depending on what timing ur using ie 1/8

it is a form of step edit, just a quick step edit, I use this most for hi hats to get nice velocity switches between hits

also, if you push STEP(F1)> Open Window> change Auto step increment to YES it will do the same thing but you'll be able to see the data as you play and you don't have to hold the REC button

I were about to record an pattern with an hihat and I saw the leds on the pad banks where litting on the wrong bank so i pressed one of the 16 pads just to make sure that I was in the wrong bank and poff ....

More of that will be in my biography when it's comming out. =)
