Layering Question

Can anyone tell me the correct way to layer a sound on the MPC? Lets say I have a snare that I want to layer how would I go about doing so? Thanks...

i think what you want todo is separate your sounds in different tracks.{i.e track 01- bass drum only, track02- snare only, track 03-kik drum only, so on and so on . hope this is what you wanted hope it helps

wouldn't this be more of a "production techniques" question?

u mean you want two snares to hit at the same time... right?

in program mode theres a setting called simultaneous (i think) press the pad u want to layer go to that simul setting and choose the pad u want to layer with. then when u hit the first pad they will both play. hope that helps...
