And for your information, mpc3000 knows a lot about mpc's, he even designed a OS...
Member "TRUE" ... nice name
Indeed ... you can copy the disk without knowing the file system.
Member "MPC3000LE" "designed a OS" for the MPC3000.
Member "MPC3000" kindly hosts the download link for same at his website:
www.mpc3000.com
Member "MPC3000" also designed many cool editing apps for the MPC line.
All of what Member "MPC3000" says here in this thread is true.
Message for member "GENVAGEN" ... believe what member "MPC3000" is saying... MPC data recovery is a specialty of his.
Two of the only three people in the world who recover data for MPC hard drives are now watching this thread.
You do not need to know the file system to recover the data if only the head mechanism of your drive has become stuck.
Get CONVAR DATENSYSTEM in Germany to do a raw image recovery from your broken drive to a new one.
The FILESYSTEM will most likely be in one piece.
If when your data is recovered the FILESYSTEM needs some repair then maybe the services of certain list members will be available to you and your cause ... maybe.
Rohan.
