help me again with a midi motif/mpc/VS 1880 issue PLEASE

someone offered some advice here some time ago, about hooking up the mpc to sync with the motif and the VS 1880...I want the mpc to be the master and im using the motif as a sound module basically but occasionally i want to use this as a standalone ready to sync with the VS 1880 at any given moment. Im well aware that the motif only works in song mode.. I can set up the mpc to sync with the VS easily, but how do i midi the motif with the VS 1880..

MPC=MIDI out to MIDI in on each, now the MPC will comtrol both
Motif=MIDI out to MPC, now the Motif can control the MPC (and therefor the 1880) and the MPC can control the motif still.

So if you press record on the MPC and press any MPC pads or motif keys, the MPC will trigger those sounds, depending on what DRUM/MIDI setting yuo have chosen for that particular track
