im trying to connect my MPC into my MFC42 unit...on the stereo outputs of the MPC, it says MONO/L on the left output. do i connect this to the MONO INPUT on the MFC? so this means, if i ran a stereo sample thru the MFC, and wanted to run a mono sample, i'd have to disconnect the left output from the left input of the MFC and plug in the MONO INPUT?
also, if you're sending individual tracks that have panned elements on them (for example a percussion track with things slightly panned left) from your MPC's 8 outs into the computer, does it still record panned? i can record 2 tracks at a time with my soundcard, 1 track into the LEFT LINE INPUT, and 1 track into the RIGHT LINE INPUT...and im using Cakewalk home studio XL...basically wat i need to do is for example send a drum track thru output 1 into the left input, and record it into cakewalk as mono from the left. at the same time i can send a bass track thru output 2 into the right input, and record it into cakewalk as mono from the right. if I had panning in any of these tracks, would they be eliminated after i record? or will they still be panned? thanks,
peace
