(I searched first i swear)

Used to have an MPC2000 with floppy drive. Dont have the MPC, but still have ths disks. Going to buy MPC 2000XL MCD. Can I xfer the floppy files to the SMC on my PC?

Will the sounds in a sequence still be assigned to the right pads? Will the files still play in the MPC 200XL?

Thank you.

If you have windows, and both a floppy drive and a MCD on your PC, you're good.

Put in the floppy and insert a card (with room to save) into your PC. Open the floppy disk. Highlight all the items. Right click them. Choose copy. Choose a destination folder on the memory card. Open it. Right click inside the window. Choose PASTE. Wait 5 years for all the info to be copied off your floppy onto the card. (NOTE:Any files with names longer than 8 characters will be truncated. This will happen as soon as you open the floppy, I believe).
