MPC 2000 OS HELP NEEDED !!!

Whats good y'all. I just copped a 2000, and the dude who had it before me lost his OS disk. I tried to put the v1.72 OS disk in that I made on my computer, and it didn't work. I was wonderin' if anyone who has a 2000 could copy their OS and post it or e-mail it to me so i can throw it on a floppy and see if it works. OH YEAH, its the non-xl model. Anyways ... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why didn't the disk that you made work? What did the mpc say when you tried to load it?

it keeps sayin' " no system file ". i think the v1.72 is just an upgrade, i'm assumin' you need the old system file first before you can use the v1.72.

when you downloaded the OS from the internet did you unzip the file? or did you just stick it in the mpc after that? cause when i downloaded the OS it was a .zip file....just a suggestion
im asking because the system file would be INSIDE the .zip file

i unzipped, cause when i opened the file on my pc it said to extract the files. and thats what i did, i still couldn't get it tho.

then i think you should download the OS from another site. the file you seem to be downloading dosnt include the system file the MPC needs to run.
