Are there any guides that cover using the smart media cards

In the 2000XL? The manual doesnt cover smart media at all.


How do I begin using and saving to the card? Like if i make a few beats, how do I save them so they stay together on the card?

Bravo knows what he's talking about. To be on the easy/safe side save all your data of one song in one directory. Make a new directory for each new song. If you wat to know how to save songs and sample then RTFM.

First, go like this.
Spin around---stop
Double-take three times... one, two, and three.
Pelvic Thrust---- Woo Hoo!
Stomp on your right foot (Don't forget it)
Now it's time to bring it around town. Bring it around town!
Then you do this, then this, and this and that and thisandthatthisandthatthisandthatthisandthat!

Then you hit SAVE!

As for reading the manual pt3r you obviously dont have the MPCMCD or youd know that they WROTE THE MANUAL FOR THE FLOPPY DRIVE only. The directions are NOT working for the card - even though storage media principles are the same, its not working.

The CF is used in the exact same way as a floppy, zip and other storage media. You save, write, load to/from the exact same way. I don't see why it's not "working" for you. It has to be something else. What exactly
is the problem. You never went into details. I have a 2kxl, it originally had a floppy, I threw it out for an internal 250zip, I then threw that out for a CF reader that pt3r suggested. Worked the FIRST time i turned on my machine and tried it. I use a LEXAR 512mb card btw.

Listen you arrogant mutha, what makes you believe I don't have a cardreader in my MPC? When people tell you that the same principles count for saving data on an MPC no matter what media you use (floppy, zip, cf card, harddisk) then they are correct. Just use the same procedures as you would for using a floppy. So my advice is still valid. But hey congratulations you just made it to my **** 'cause you clearly know everything better so why bothering posting questions anyway.
