CD/RW AND record player???

Im planning on buying a external cd rom off of ebay to load wavs to my mpc 2000 . I want to be able to save my work as well though since i cant save to my scsi cd rom im gonna get a zip drive is this a ok setup?

Im gonna get a record play a gemini xl to sample from , do i need to buy a mixer with that or can i just get the cords for it iand plug it in the RECORD IN holes on the back of the mpc

You'll want a mixer to act as a pre-amp for your tuntable as plugging the turntable straight into the mpc won't give you a good signal.
