yep, a great thing about the midi sequencing on the MPC is that you can loop your sequence and overdub new sequences on top while it's playing. just hold down the red record/overdub key and press play at the same time while the sequence is playing back. you can also easily switch to different midi tracks to record to without stopping the machine.
