When I copped my EB16 I had absolutely no idea how to use it...since it's a little strange to work with; I read the manual, messed with it for a while...and now, I love that sht!!!

I had to download the XL manual because the 2000 manual didn't have the instructions. It helped A LOT

its quite logical, if youve ever used an effects rack and hooked it up to your mixers fx sends and returns. its the same princepal, where the mpc's pads each represents a mixer channel, and you dial in how much of that pad you want to send to the effects. you can opt to have the wet signal sent thru a stereo out if u have the expansion, and mix it in with the dry stereo outs.

ok since i'm in this room wit people who have the eb-16 , who can agree wit me that this damn efx card ain't really that hot?

I've messed wit the reverbs, it has like the same kinda splashy feelin when u tamper wit kiks and snares & hihats....

to sum it all up, I don't get a major change up when i apply efx to any sounds.,.,although I can agree that i do put a lil reverb and sometimes gate the drum to make my beats have like a "Wet" lively feel to it.,.,

It's the little card with a big heart.

If it's not that great take it out and make a few beats without it.
You might notice that you'd rather have it than not.

I think it's a good little card.

youll have to use a bit of distortion to bring the sound of the effects ( other than reverbs ) out, also try bringing down the mixer level and sending more to the effects.
