Aight, Im trying to load up a beat I did a while ago on one of my zip discs, but when I say "load" it says "Can't open sile" (its an .SND file btw).

Why is this?! After I try to load it and it can't, the sound is marked with an "!" after it on the zip disc.

This means that I cannot open alot of my older beats cause it simply won't load the audio files :(

Why is this? And can I restore the files in some way?

Holla back ASAP.

One!

The zip disk might be bad.

Was the disk stored in a cool dry place?
Was the disk stored near a magnetic field?

When you get an exclamation point in any of your file names it means that your MPC doesn't except that format. I suggest you convert those files into a fromat that is compatible with your MPC (i.e. WAV).
