IDE power cable connector to mother board (internal ZIP)

hello: i am trying to install an internal ZIP on the floppy 3.5 position, ok!!. i do all, the problem is with the connector power from floppy, is diferent size than the IDE device. and i could not find the "adaper connector", i going to try do an ADAPTATION. my cuestion is: the original cable have 2 lines (black + red) , I CAN TAKE ANOTHER IDE POWER CABLE AND JOIN IT??....what abot the power measures or voltages?.. sorry my bad english..
