Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hello everyone...can anyone tell me the best way to to import sounds from pc to mpc2000xl....please share what you did...i have access to some sounds but I haven't a clue to how to get them. a cat I know has a built in scsi 100mb in his pc....don't have that so I need another way.....hoola at me..thanks

well if your pc has a USB port on it, you can but a USB zip drive and plug it in. i have two zip drives. One USB drive and one SCSI drive. usb for the computer and scsi for the mpc. just load the sounds onto a disk and pop it into the scsi drive and load them up that way

i've buyed a zip (parallel port). but it doesn't read my mpc2000xl zip!!! what i can do!? it say thet the drive it's empty

Format the drive with FAt/Fat32 and then just send to zip and walk them over to the mpc.

OR

Use floppy disks. Your 2000xl should have a floppy disk drive or if it's the MCD version it should have a multi-media card drive (even better). use either method to transfer files from your PC.

If your PC hasn't got a multi media card reader (which it probably wont), just get a USB multi media card reader - which is what I use.

I just sample straight into the MPC from my PC through my mixer.
