Saving Sequences with Multiple Programs??

I am creating sequences with multiple programs, used randomly on different tracks in my sequence. I want to save the sequence so that it remembers which tracks have which programs assigned to them, so that the right sounds from the right programs play on the right tracks. Has anyone got any advice for me. Thanks....

save sequences as .ALL and save programs & sounds as .APS all in the SAME folder with the SAME name, so when you go into the songs folder everything you need is there

Hi, i didn search first but didnt get the answer i needed. Thanks for your advice... v helpful. How do i create a folder and by doing what you said, how will i know which programs should be assigned to each track in the sequence. Doesnt saving as .aps mean it saves all the programs in currently in memory. Hope you can help. Thanks...

give any of your 20 drumprograms a prgchange No. eg 1-20.
Than insert a prgchange event ( value 1-20)at the very beginning in a given track (edit menue)
and it will switch to the drumprogramm which is assigned to the prgchange No. when you hit the start button.
You may want to have a look in the manual, how to assign prgchange to drumprgs.
I think its open window somewhat in the prg menue. I am not near a mpc now...

yes it does

i havn't got as far as prog changes yet, but I have used 4 diff progs at the same time in one sequence selecting drum 1-4 in each track, which is the most you can use simultaneously

to make a folder you need to have an SCSI device like a ZIP disk or HD, this is in the manual

program change comes in handy, when you e.g.have a liveset saved as aps and all file,
which would use a bunch of sequences with different Drum1-4 assignments,
so each sequence would switch automatically the Drum1-4 program assignments.

have i got the right idea - prog change lets you switch between the 20 programs that arn't in use? if so that is handy as fcuk, i'm only as far as using 4 at once
